Plug In Junkies ..

Thank god for airport plugs ....

As we are all now electronic junkies, all I can say is thank god for plugs in airports.  The problem now however is that everyone travels with electronic gear of sorts that need charging – phones, cameras, e-books, computers, etc…  Even myself.  I find myself on the constant search for plugs while waiting for my next connection.  The challenge now is that everywhere you look, the plugs are in use by other people with the same mission.

A Plethora of Equipment and Chargers

But I succeed.  It’s the small victories I say.   And another one … window seat for 11 hours ~ why no!  That was my original seat, but the plane is not full so I have a whole middle row.   I am in heaven.  Three Fijian men (or what look to be Fijian men) all stuck in one row, got right into my strategy and game called seat surfing.  Eagerly we  continued to look towards the door hoping no more passengers were coming on.  Each lingering one left us all a little concerned, but they sat down each time before our section.  The tired blond woman sitting in my original row showed no fun or humour for the game.  But win we all did as we  have now all spread out on the plane.  I’m so happy.

Not only that, but it is a 747.  The big plane, the one with the hump on it.  The upstairs.  I remember these planes from childhood.  No sardine packing in these planes.  And free wine with dinner.  I love it.  I can remove a remote from the arm rest to control things.  The beautiful South Pacific stewards are demonstrating how to be happy and lighthearted.  They are striking.  Flowers in their hair, island music.  Man, life is good.
