Quick update using my Kindle so somewht limited. Have arrived in Sydney and am at my first couch surfing location. Great host. More later. Have to find internet but after I run, workout and then swim. Weather is beautiful. Life is good.

Sweet! I am thethering on the BC Ferries with my iPhone and computer. Problem about having kindle on my mac is I have trouble resisting answering my emails.

What’s this kindle? I used to saw, out of commission pit props, into 8 inch lengths and then chop them into 1 inch squares, bundle them into 12s and sell them to our neighbours in the NorthEast of England as kindle or was it kindling. You certainly do not want this on your computer, it was soaked with a messy tar-type material. It burned well and was the starter for the coal fire, otherwise known as central heating because the fireplace was in the middle of the wall in one room only.

Nope – not kindling. Kindle is the Amazon e-book which once you have purchased gives you unlimited 3G and wifi so I can use it to access the internet when my computer won’t but I have cell phone coverage and I can also store about 3500 books in there if I want. So when all else fails, I can check my blog and leave an entry even if I can’t get my computer linked in. But I like your anecdote. It would be messy and smelly to burn my kindle too as there would be rubber and plastic in it and it would not be pretty!!!
Thank you for helping me with “kindle”. I am advised that one is never too old to learn something new, but still have no idea what it is all about, and also, what is a cell “phone”.
I have never seen them described in any histological publications. Are they found in all cells, or in the cells of specific tissues?
Yes – e-books, the new way to read without actually holding paper. Cell “phones” are akin to neurotransmitters. They pass messages to other conglomerates of cells known as organisms – some more sophisticated than others. Oddly it is only the homo sapien which seem to possess these particular cells and although not all homo sapiens seem to acquire them they do seem to be spreading and multiplying in their existence. Must be an evolutionary thing.
