I love how you can be chatting with someone for over an housr and not even know their name. Sometimes you never even find out their name. Numerous times so far in my journey I have entered into engaging conversations or repartee with someone and only at the end or even not at all, found out their name. Generally if it has been a woman, not at all. A man their first name. Sometimes they ask for it but generally I do, as it seems somehow wrong to have such detailed conversations and not know a person’s name.
Sometimes they want to keep in contact, sometimes they don’t. Sometimes, you establishy post contact and one time is it. Other times it carries on.
Often in my life I have been the sustainer of the connection not the receiver. Are you a sustainer or a receiver?
I think maybe I am a receiver as I have to feel that a person wants to keep in touch with me first – but in all honsty that is because I am unsure of myself.
Well as Eliza Bennet would say in Pride an Prejudice, you have to practice at social graces to get good at them.
