Wendy, Lee and Joyce pose a la turn of the century style - just joking

My last night in Blackpool, Lee, Wendy, Joyce and I enjoyed an amazing dinner made by Joyce.  It was really good to catch up with Wendy about all the things going on back on Gabriola, which is where she lives.  Besides unfortunate deaths, change is consistent.  I miss my friends from Gabriola but I do not miss the ferry and other things that I found a little difficult for myself.

It is amazing how though when you are with friends you can be anywhere, whether it be Gabriola, Blackpool, Bournemouth, Bridlington, Edinburgh, Oslo, Sundsvall, etc.. etc…  Home is where the heart is.  However, I still do like Britain, Norway, Sweden, Belgium, etc… etc…

As this leg of my travelling comes closer to ending, it is giving me a lot to reflect on.  I am grateful for all of my friends who I have visited and who have shown me great hospitality and especially who expect only me to be me.  I wish I could live near all of them, but that is impossible.  I am grateful for my new friends as well.  That has been one of the most amazing parts of this journey.  So many people out there, so many places.  So this I have to say, is only the beginning.
