Allana and Jude at Silva Bay. Spent many a day and night at that place.
Seeing my friends here on the island has been really nice. I don’t know when I will get back here so it has been important to try and see as many people as possible. Allana, who actually is originally from Ontario, took me out for lunch yesterday and Jude came along as well. Afterward we went to visit Nelson, Allana’s partner, on his work site. It was there that there was this amazing fig tree. Quite an old one. One of the few in North America of this size I am lead to believe.

Alanna, my other friend, who was so amazing to take care of my mail and such whilst I was gone, has made me dinner a number of times which has been delicious. Just like old times. Jude has cooked for me too. I feel so honoured to have friends taking care of me in such a way. What a gift.

I have also managed to sell or give away the majority of my things to people I know. Even some of my artwork will remain behind. However I only have so much time and there are only about 5 days left until I go, so I won’t be able to see everyone. Sometimes time can seem to move so slowly but at the same time go so fast.

Sara, you are one lucky lady to have so many wonderful and caring friends, but then again, it takes a friend to be one…..
