Mum and Mayor Hazel McCallion taken at the fundraising even at ORC (taken with my blackberry so a little fuzzy)
Just a quick post here as I wanted to get in a picture. Mum and I went to the ORC fundraising night last night for Armaugh House. They had yummy food from around the world and a casino event where you could wine prizes. So we ended up coming home with our goody bags of stuff that we managed to acquire. While we were there, Mississauga’s long term Mayor, Hazel McCallion came to thank the event for supporting Armaugh House.
I had to get a picture of Mum with Hazel since not only did they appear to have coordinated their attire, but they are pretty close in age. Hazel is a pretty amazing woman, what she has accomplished in the political arena. She has done such a good job with Mississauga which I believe is the only municipality in Canada that has never been in the ‘red’. Although I could have that fact wrong, but that has always been said. And at 89 she is still going strong.
