Camden Town – Wow – Love It!

Me wearing my new calf gaiter thingys at Camden Market

Last Sunday, Nuno took me to Camden Town and ergo, Camden Market.  Blew me away.  If I had this place close to me all the time I would have the best fashion and style around.  You can get everything and anything there.

Crowds heading to Camden Market

In particular we spent out time at the Horse Stables Market, which is this huge maze of a place.  I believe it has been there since the 1800s.  And the metal work was also incredible.  Of course I, being born in the Year of the Horse, have a special affinity to anything “horse”.  So I was more than pleased to wonder about this place.  Believe it or not, we did not manage to go through it all.

Funky store fronts in Camden Town

In addition to amazing shopping was the food.  Food from every country and type – Indian, Thai, Spanish, Caribbean, Italian, Chinese, Japanese – you  name it – it could be found.

Now there's a pair of boots - if I wore those I would be well over 6 feet tall

I managed to find some really unique earrings made in Brazil out of golden grass.  Check out their site http://acaibeads.com/GoldenGrass.html

Heading into the Horse Tunnel Market

I also found these really neat gaiters – I guess I would call them – that I put around my calfs and they instantly turn my shoes into funky boots not to mention keep my legs warm.  So all these fashions with buckles and ties and  metal bits – all the things I love.  Of course travelling as I am, I cannot get many items so I have to bypass these.  Sniff.  Once again.  These are fashions that North America just does not have.

Nuno tries on a jacket - too small dude

Anyway, I have to come back, because there was so much to see.  So perhaps when Mum gets here.  The weekday might be a bit better too because it was awfully hectic on a Sunday.
