Just watched this really interesting show on the BBC called Derren Brown and this show was called Fear and Faith. In the show he used a placebo under the guise of it being a drug that could cure a number of ailments but specifically started with fear. And it really was amazing. I want to contact this guy and talk to him about a couple of things that I would like to have cured!
But really, it was quite fascinating and what I liked about it most was his statement during the program, that it was really about people believing in their potential. Their potential to change. And I think that is really key. A lot of the work I am getting involved in now which is around personality styles and how to move out of self-protective behaviour and into self-actualizing behaviour, which in turn will help you build new neural pathways in your brain and will more likely to do it with less effort.

This is the Striving Style Personality System book coming out January 8th, 2013. I suggest you get a copy and read it - it is really good. You'll be amazed.
That was a really simplistic and under-detailed explanation of something that is a little more involved than that, but it was Derren Brown’s comment about using these placebos and seeing people cured of some of their debilitating issues was really helping them to believe in their potential. And if you believe you have the potential to change something in yourself that is getting in the way of you living life fully, then you will more likely able to make that shift.
Anyway, on a totally different note, on my last day here today, Katie, Caroline and I went for a nice really long ride on the horses as my last opportunity likely for a long while. It was a gorgeous fall day and the sun was shining. It was not too hot but not cold either.
A video of Benji and me on a ride.
So now, I head back to Britain, back first to London to go to a Human Resources conference called HR-Performance where I hope to network and promote the Striving Styles Personality System of which I am now a practitioner. If you are interested, check out the site www.strivingstyles.com.
I want to thank Tony, Caroline and Katie for the opportunity to take care of Grandmont Gites and their animals. It’s been a blast and it has been lovely communing with my favourite animal, the horse. If you want a great place to stay, visit the site, make a booking a go. It is lovely.
