Seems the weather here in Britain is a constant state of rain, grey and cloud. There is the odd day of sun, but it seems to struggle at the moment. Reminds me a lot of when I was living in British Columbia.
I find the clouds, grey and rain can make you lazy. It is hard to drag your butt around when it is like this and the inertia, if it has set in, is a challenge to kick start out of. Not that I don’t, but I sure do notice it.
I think too though, it can also be dependent on a person’s state of mind. Is one feeling inspired or feeling depressed? Is one in a bright place in their mind or in a dull place? Of course it is really up to what we choose to be, barring having any real biochemistry difficulty. Gotta build those neural pathways for a positive, fulfilling life and only you can do that.
How does that start? Just by doing one or two things everyday that are different, that force you to use more self-actualizing behaviour. For me it is about being focused and installing some routine. Getting out to do some exercise no matter how lazy I am feeling at that moment.
One or two little changes a day — isn’t it funny though how sometimes we can be our own worst enemy. It is just too easy sometimes to do what comes easily.
Too bad the weather is so depressing – I guess I must have been used to it as I don’t really remember the weather getting me depressed.
Here we are having very mild weather for this time of the year and today it is also sunny so must get myself out of the house. Looking forward to your visit. Love Mum
Well, I do believe memories are selective Mum!! 🙂
