I have been to different parts of the Purbecks a number of times now, each time with a different person. And I have to say that each time it is wonderful and there is something new to discover. Ultimately I get to see the area through the eyes of another and so the flavour of the experience is influenced by their perspective and personality. It is a really great way to see a place but also to get to know the people you are with. There has been a Leader, an Intellectual, an Artist and a Socializer. Of course now I am referring to SSPS. But I digress.
Each person shows me different things and in a different way. It is an amazing coast and to explore it on a sunny Saturday is exceptional. This last Saturday I visited numerous amazing places with Si. Lots of brisk exercise, amazing sunshine, windy roads and high view points.
One of the things I have enjoyed experiencing is that as I settle in this area in southern England I get to explore it on a much more local level. The past two years I have been exploring the world and keeping on the go and on the move and not having any place to call home is fun, but also becomes exhausting. So now my path has changed a bit.
I am still exploring the world, but in a more community fashion. Exploration of oneself and the world around them never really ends. Well it ends when we die I suspect, but if it ends before that time, I can imagine that life is just living on automatic pilot and no longer seeing everything it has to offer.
I guess it depends how broadly you cast your net. If you cast it to wide you can only get so much detail. Casting it a little closer means it gives you the opportunity to dive deeper into the details that surround you and that can be great and also scare you a bit. So this is the new journey I take.
First of all, I love the alliteration in this heading.
Second, I’m happy that you’re blogging again. I missed reading your posts.
Southern England sure does look beautiful…..
Just one question: have you ever taken part in a naturists/nudists beach? If not, would you consider it? (Oops, that was two questions. lol)
